Freescale MC9S08QE32Running off of a 32 kHz oscillator, Freescale Semiconductor’s MC9S08QE32 8-bit MCU demonstrates current consumption of less than 7.3 mA on an operating voltage range from 1.8 V to 3.6 V. The device exhibits 2 low-power stop modes, low-power run and wait modes, clock gating registers to disable clocks or unused peripherals and 6 ms wake-up time from stop mode on an up to 50.33 MHz HCS08 core. The microcontroller offers a bus frequency of up to 25.165 MHz, up to 32 Kb Flash memory, up to 2 Kb RAM, communications via SxSCi, SPI and IIC with broadcast mode, and an operating temperature from -40°C to 85°C. The components are appropriate for utility meters, HVAC and building controls, commercial smoke detectors, toys, and embedded developers using multiple time-pulse modulation (TPM), general purpose IO (GPIO) and serial communications interface (SCI) channels.
