208V Option for UPS Emerson Network Power announced a version of the 6kVA Liebert GXT2 UPS that is designed specifically for 208V applications. The UPS delivers on-line double-conversion UPS protection for up to 4,200W of equipment in 5U of rack space. It is designed to automatically detect input frequency of 60 or 50 Hz, and features user-replaceable, internal batteries that provide approximately seven minutes of runtime at full load. It has integrated distribution with flexible output connections and a wrap-around maintenance bypass. The unit also includes an automatic and manual internal bypass. External battery cabinets are available for extended runtimes.

Russia has jumped on the CFL bandwagon, and decided to ban the incandescent bulb. As of January 1, 2014, the manufacture and sale of all incandescent bulbs will be prohibited in Russia.
