The device offers timeout periods of 3.4 ms, 6.3 ms, 102 ms, or 1.6 s, push-pull or open-drain active-low output configurations, and 2-mm × 2.1-mm 5-pin SC70-5 or 2.8-mm × 2.8-mm SOT23-5 packaging. The component operates in commercial and industrial environments in applications such as security equipment, financial systems, medical equipment, and networking devices. Pricing is $0.35 in 10,000 quantities.

Russia has jumped on the CFL bandwagon, and decided to ban the incandescent bulb. As of January 1, 2014, the manufacture and sale of all incandescent bulbs will be prohibited in Russia.
