POE power injectorPhihong announced the release of its 30 W passive power injectors for PoE Plus applications. Available in a two-wire model designated the POE31W series and a three-wire model designated the POE31U Series, both series are IEEE802.3at-compliant with output voltage options in 24 V or 56 V DC and meet the requirements for the Ecodesign (ErP) Directive 2009/125/EC level 2 Annex 1b as well as the ENERGY STAR® EPS Version 2.0. The POE31W Series is suitable for applications such as wireless access points, IP print servers, WiMax and Bluetooth access points, security cameras with Pan/Tilt/Zoom and IP telephones (W models recommended). Because this series has no detection, the midspan injector is for dedicated power systems only where there is limited opportunity for the intended device to be disconnected and a non-PoE compatible device connected that may result in overpowering. The 30W passive power series features over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection and bears UL and CE safety approval markings.

Dungeons and Dragons Dice Gauntlet
Dungeons and Dragons Dice Gauntlet

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
