silicones soft padShin-Etsu Silicones of America’s TC-CA Series soft-pad silicones are comprised of advanced polymer and thermally conductive filler composite material technologies. The company asserts the low-hardness silicone “soft pad” series of products have both high thermal conductivity and excellent electrical insulation properties. The materials are said to allow better line-to-line contact between the heat sink and the heat generating component which means more heat transfer ? which equates to longer life parts. The silicones’ properties include low-hardness for good compressibility, stress-relaxation, desirable workability and processibility, and low specific gravity. Depending on the application, it is possible to meet diverse heat-dissipation requirements because each product in the series offers a combination of unique properties so customers can choose the most appropriate for a specific application.

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
