Twenty-five MHz oscilloscopeSaelig Company, Inc. announced the PDS5022S 25 MHz two-channel benchtop oscilloscope with Auto-scale, FFT, and trigger hold – added features normally found on more expensive instruments. Autoscale can be set to automatically adjust the vertical gain, or the horizontal time base, or both together. This is useful for circuit probing – as the probe is moved from point to point on a circuit board, the display auto-adjusts for best trace presentation. It functions in the same manner as 'AutoSet', but instead of being a one-time function, it's active until turned off, keeping the hands free. FFT allows users to instantly see the frequency spectrum of the signal under test, and Trigger Hold allows users to introduce a delay relative to the trigger point so that a different part of the signal can be seen. The also includes video trigger, auto-measurements, large 8-inch full color LCD display, 100 MS/s sampling, XY Mode, auto- set, averaging, math functions, USB output and waveform storage. PDS5022S can automatically measure and display frequency and peak-peak/rms/mean values, but cursors can also be moved to make individual readings.

Dungeons and Dragons Dice Gauntlet
Dungeons and Dragons Dice Gauntlet

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
