Former Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO Mark Hurd, who resigned from the company last month in the wake of a sexual harassment investigation, is in talks about a position with Oracle Corp., according to published reports.

Hurd could join Oracle in an executive role, though he is not expected to replace the software maker's CEO, Larry Ellison, according to reports Sunday on the Wall Street Journal and New York Times websites. Both attributed the information to unnamed people familiar with the matter.

A spokeswoman at Oracle didn't immediately return a phone message and e-mail seeking comment late Sunday.

Hurd stepped down from HP in early August after an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment discovered that he allegedly falsified expense reports.

HP, however, determined that Hurd didn't violate the company's sexual harassment policies in his interactions with Jodie Fisher. Hurd has denied making any advances on Fisher, who worked as a marketing contractor for HP from 2007 to 2009. She said her work with the company dried up because she rebuffed Hurd's advances.

Hurd and Oracle are close to an agreement over Hurd's employment, but no deal had been reached, according to the reports.

 • Mark Hurd recently resigned after five big years as CEO of Hewlett Packard. He left Hewlett Packard amid allegations brought by Jodie Fisher, a former consultant, of sexual harassment. He was recently hired by Oracle as an executive. Oracle is, as fate would have it, a direct competitor with Hewlett Packard. Hurd accepted a job as co-president of Oracle, but the jump from one giant technology company to another was not that simple. Hurd had to sign confidentiality agreements as part of his employment with HP. As a result, HP is suing Oracle for not legally hiring him. It is understandable why Oracle would though. Hurd is a known heavyweight within the tech industry.

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
