The automotive industry is constantly moving towards cleaner high performance products for improved mechanical and electrical performance. Tyco Electronics has designed the MCON 1.2 terminal and housing series to deliver a connector system with increased performance in a reduced package size for engine applications.

The heart of the MCON connector system is the terminal, which is comprised of four springs providing eight contact points, for high vibration resistance validated to USCAR and ArbeitsKreis- (AK) specifications. The terminal is manufactured from two base materials which provide optimal mechanical and electrical performance, in combination with the three contact surfaces (tin, silver, and gold) to meet specific customer requirements. There are three terminal variants for wire ranges of 0.25mm2-1.5mm2, and three different surfaces allowing original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and harness makers to cover a wide range of applications with a minimum number of parts.

Tyco Electronics offers a full range of housings from two to six positions, manufactured from materials for high temperature engine applications. The housings are combined with CPA (Contact Position Assurance) and a secondary locking feature to ensure correct terminal insertion prior to the placement on the vehicle. The MCON connector system is available for wire-to-wire applications. The connector interface is standard in the European market at several OEMs, allowing the Tyco Electronics MCON connector family to mate with competitors' products.

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
