Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. introduced the  1W EHP-AX08/P01 and EHP-AX08/P03 3W high-power LED families. The emitters feature a silicon lens, high luminous flux (up to 90 lm/W) and low thermal resistance (15°C/W, Typ.). Sized in an industry-standard 8 mm x 8 mm x 5.7 mm SOP package, these LEDs are designed to handle higher reflow soldering temperatures

Open Access Test Chassis

February 19, 2008 5:38 am | Product Releases | Comments

Elma Electronic Inc. announced an open frame chassis for test/debugging.  The unit does not have side or back walls around the card cage area, leaving it open for easy access. The E-frame was designed with the high (and flexible) power and cooling requirements for VPX (VITA 46/48) systems, any 3U or 6U backplanes can be used. This includes VME/64x, VXS, CompactPCI, and other backplane architectures. The Type 39E Portable Tower has a convenient carrying handle

Chipset for AMD Parallel and Serial VID Processors

February 15, 2008 6:16 am | International Rectifier | Product Releases | Comments

International Rectifier introduced the IR3514 and IR3507 XPhase chipset for AMD parallel and serial VID (PVID and SVID) processors. The IR3514 control IC enables designers to migrate from AMD processors requiring a parallel VID to SVID processors without the need to change the motherboard. Combined with the IR3507 phase IC, the IR3514 provides Power Saving Interface (PSI) capability to

2.2 MHz Synchronous Boost Regulator with Output Disconnect and LDO in a 3 mm x 3 mm QFN

February 15, 2008 5:39 am | Product Releases | Comments

Linear Technology Corporation announced the LTC3537, a 2.2 MHz, current mode synchronous boost DC/DC converter with integrated output disconnects plus an LDO. The devices's boost converter's internal 600 mA switches can deliver output voltages as high as 5.25V from an input voltage range of 0.68V at start-up (0.5V when running) to 5V, making it suitable for Li-Ion/Polymer or single/multicell alkaline/NiMH applications.
