Sensoray announced its 2446 streaming video server that accepts either standard or high definition NTSC or PAL video inputs with synchronized audio. The video is scaled to D1 for MPEG compression, and it is transmitted using the RTP or UDP protocol. The encoded video is playable by commercial set-top boxes or on PCs running free open source software.

OTEK Corp. introduced its LPM series, a 4½ LCD digit process meter that is powered by the current loop. It has an optional loop powered backlight (red or green), and it is RS232/485/USB compatible. Two wires are required in series with the loop to make the LPM work as a basic loop-powered display
Omega Engineering Inc. announced its OMG-COMM4-LPCI-DB25 low profile PCI serial interface which provides four RS-232 serial ports capable of data rates up to 460.8 Kbps. Each RS-232 port implements all modem control signals for maximum compatibility with a range of peripherals. The board is MD1 low profile, Universal Bus (3.3V and 5V) compatible, and it uses a 16C864 UART to provide 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs for maximum reliability in data intensive applications.
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced the N5450A InfiniiMax extreme-temperature extension cable, used with the company’s InfiniiMax Series probing system and Infiniium oscilloscopes, that give engineers the ability to probe signals at temperatures ranging from -55°C to 150°C. The cable is suitable for designers working in the cell phone, automotive electronics, storage device and consumer electronics industries who need to validate and characterize their designs while operating within extreme temperature ranges.
