Current ratings for the fuse with fuse clips range from .315 mA to 4 A. The stand-alone fuse UMT 250 includes twenty two current ratings, ranging from 80 mA to 10A. Voltage ratings are 250 VAC and 125 VDC according to IEC and 277 VAC and 250 VDC according to UL

Plug In America Refutes Obama Auto Task Force Conclusion on GM Volt

April 2, 2009 10:31 am | Blogs | Comments

In response to an Obama Administration auto task force report, Plug In America on Tuesday proposed a plan to make GM’s Chevy Volt and other plug-in cars more affordable, noting that most advanced new technologies are initially more costly. California law requires that the Volt and other plug-in hybrids come with a 10-year warranty. To ensure this longer life, automakers are as much as doubling the size of the battery pack, increasing cost to manufacturer and consumer.

SMT 5W DC/DC Converters Offer 4:1 Input

April 2, 2009 6:49 am | Product Releases | Comments

Power Sources Unlimiteds' Tracopower TES5WI Series of 5 Watt DC/DC converters come in a 24-pin SMT package. The design complies with lead free reflow solder processing according IPC/JEDEC-J-STD-020C. Standard models feature an ultra wide, 4:1 input range of 9-36 VDC or 18-75 VDC, with single or dual outputs of

Power Converter Uses Industrial Grade Components for Critical Applications

April 2, 2009 6:10 am | Product Releases | Comments

Schaefer, Inc. has introduced the C/B5800 Series of 12,000 Watt DC/DC converter, AC/DC power supply and battery charging products. The Series’ robust design, using industrial grade components, yields an efficient solution for even the most extreme environments in industries such as

Incremental Conductor Simplifies Circuits

March 31, 2009 8:37 pm | Product Releases | Comments

Addressing the need for components to perform tasks in a circuit, the IVC from the A.F. Creative Lab provides gain or resistance in a circuit based on its deployment configuration. When deployed in a loop or loops, the conductor increases the strength of whatever is travelling down it, signal or power, with the number of loops determining the amount of gain. When configured into line clusters (knots), the conductor performs resistance and step-down functions based on the number of clusters integrated into the line

Biomechanical ATV Boasts Extremely High Range

March 31, 2009 7:27 pm | Blogs | Comments

Advanced technology vehicles have yet to gain a foothold in the mainstream auto industry. Hybrids boast a fuel economy upwards of 40 mpg, but are too pricey for your average consumer. Similarly, “clean diesel” sports high MPG ratings, but diesel is prohibitively expensive. The more exotic ATV’s (air-cars, biodiesel, solar) are aesthetically morose. Pure electric vehicles (PEVs) lack the necessary infrastructure to support them. Welcko’s Mogwai Electric Vehicle (or MEV) is the first ATV with potential mainstream viability
