Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced its SMNZ ultra-high-precision Z-Foil four-resistor network that provides a low absolute TCR of ±0.05ppm/°C from 0°C to +60°C and ±0.2ppm/°C from 55°C to +125°C, a PCR tracking of 5 ppm at rated power, a tolerance match of 0.01 percent and a load life ratio stability of 0.005 percent.
Laird Technologies introduced its Wi-Max antenna catalog that combines all of the company’s high performance Wi-Max antennas into one comprehensive guide. The catalog describes base station antennas, backhaul antennas, fixed and mobile client antennas, vehicular and in-building antennas. Dialight Lumidrives launched Colourdriver XP, its LED driver high power LEDs that provide LED users in the architectural, entertainment and leisure industries with more choice over the control of color changing LEDs. The driver meets the needs of high power LEDs like Luxeon K2, and it provides high power operation up to 1,000 mA with the option of a white or amber mix in addition to the three standard RGB channels.
Cree, Inc. announced its cool-white LEDs with 129 lumens per Watt and its warm-white LEDs with 99 lumens per Watt. These packaged, high-power LEDs for solid-state lighting were tested by NIST at 350 mA, and the outputs were measured after five minutes of operation to ensure thermal stabilization.
Endicott Research Group (ERG) released two Smart Force LED driver boards as standard products for a range of industrial LCDs. Both provide full function LED drivers in a compact size with wide range dimming, wide input voltage and full brightness and enable control. Smart Force LED rails are also available for use with the driver boards to provide thermal management.
Phoenix Display International (PDI), Inc. introduced its line of 2.2" TFTs with QCIF+ (176 × 220) resolution. These sunlight-readable LCDs offer high brightness, contrast and color saturation with optimal transflective properties for outdoor applications. The TFT cells are manufactured using high aperture panel technology, high transmittance color filters and high transmission polarizers that result in a clear and bright display that is suitable for high ambient light or outdoor, high brightness applications.
Digital View introduced its HE-1400 and HE-1600 series of COTS LCD controllers to comply with the standards required for the harsh environments in military and rugged industrial applications. Both controllers feature wide tolerance power supplies (12V DC±25 percent), locking connectors and low-mass tantalum capacitors for maximum tolerance to shock and vibration.
Anritsu Device Company Ltd. introduced its AS8Y1100M30M/AS8C1150Z30M 0.8 µm high power superluminescent diodes (SLDs) that feature high precision with low coherent noise, high resolution with wide spectral half width and sharp directivity. The overall performance of the diodes make them well suited for optical sensor/encoder, optical coherent tomography (OCT) and optical measurement applications.
Solartron Metrology announces its SI 7500 series of multi-axis metrology displays that connect to a proprietary Orbit Network, and it accepts up to 16 Orbit module inputs including digital probes, linear encoders and analog input modules. The data logger and six-color LCD feature a visible intuitive display, audio cues and user-defined formulas.
Microchip Technology, Inc. announced its mTouch system that provides a method for adding a touch sensing user interface to applications using PIC microcontrollers. The free kit is available for download from www.microchip.com/mtouch, and it provides full access to the source code so that designers can customize the algorithms and integrate them into their main application.
NKK Switches announced its KP02 series of audio/video pushbutton switches that actuate with shorter strokes. These switches feature a total travel of .138" (3.5 mm), pre-travel is .091" (2.3 mm) and over-travel is 0.47" (1.2 mm). Their compact design has a height of .906" (23.0 mm) from the PC board to the top of the cap, and actuation force is 1.6N.
Schneider Electric introduced its Square D SEPAM digital relay product line that is comprised of the series 80 relay for critical sources and loads, the series 40 relay for important sources and loads, and the series 20 relay for more basic source and load requirements. All of the models comply with ANSI standards, and they use ANSI symbols.
Applied Motion Products introduced its ST5-Q stepper drive that provides stand-alone operation and is programmed with the Q programming environment which delivers register manipulation, conditional processing, math functions, multi-tasking and HMI compatibility. The drive delivers up to 5.0A with 24V DC to 48V DC input, and it provides eight digital inputs, four digital outputs and two analog inputs.
APEM Components, Inc. introduced its 12000X778 Series of professional grade toggle switches for use in military, aerospace and industrial applications. The toggle switches are QPL certified to MIL-DTL-3950G under M3950/15, M3950/16 and M3950/17, covering two-, three- and four-pole configurations.
