These CS capacitors feature low ESR and high ripple current capability, and they are intended for high frequency filtering and EMI/RFI suppression in AC/DC or DC/DC power conversion applications.
Littelfuse launched its Nano2 456 Series of fast-acting ROHS and UL-compliant 20A and 30A subminiature surface-mount ceramic fuses. Measuring 10.10 mm × 3.12 mm × 3.12 mm, these ceramic fuses are available in 20A and 30A ratings, with interrupting ratings of 100A at 125V AC and 300A at 65V AC respectively.
Cornell Dubilier Electronics announced that its MLC RF clad capacitors, SMT Types MCM and MIN, passed a guaranteed minimum 5 mm flexure using the Automotive Electronics Council test procedure AEC-Q200, method 005. The robustness of these capacitors is attributed to their compatible COE with FR4 board material, a flexible dielectric and rugged clad construction.
IRC Advanced Film Division offered its LR Series 2W current sense flat chip resistor in a 2512 package that features a copper conductor element on an alumina substrate with wraparound copper terminations and a protective overcoat for increased stability. Applications include DC/DC converters, automotive electronics, power supplies and battery chargers.
Schaffner EMC released its components short form catalog containing a complete line of filters, chokes, feed-through and power-quality components and pulse transformers for electronic systems. The 12-page catalog offers a product selection chart highlighting the company’s line of single phase and three phase products
State of the Art (SOTA), Inc. announced its LPF line of thin film low pass filters in a sub-miniature case size. They are available on 99 percent alumina substrate with 50ohm terminations available for either solder or epoxy mounting. These devices are available with passband cutoffs at 5.5 GHz, 7 GHz and 8 GHz. Maximum rejection is >16 dB; VSWR characteristics are <1.4:1; and the insertion loss is <0.5 dB. These filters eliminate the need for use of multiple components where space use is critical.
Molex, Inc. expanded its SlimStack product line to include J-Lead SMT connectors. These board-to-board connectors feature a J-shaped SMT tail that provides 35 percent PCB width space savings versus standard gull-wing style tails. The connectors are manufactured in stack heights of 0.90 mm, 1.30 mm, 1.50 mm and 1.70 mm.
