OSRAM Opto Semiconductors announced its portfolio of LEDs in warm white colors. All devices feature increased color stability, long life and low energy consumption. OSTAR provides bright, warm white light that is suitable for downlight while also giving rooms a comfortable welcoming atmosphere. Power TOPLEDs are small, low power devices, measuring 3.4 mm × 3.4 mm, producing 2.9 lm at 2,700/3,000K, 3.6 lm at 3,500K and 4.1 lm at 4,200K at an operating current of 30 mA.
Micrel Inc. launched its MIC4830 and MIC4832 series of 180 Vpp and 220 Vpp low noise electroluminescent lamp (EL) drivers that drive panels of up to 4 sq. in. or greater. Applications include mobile phones, PDAs, pagers, calculators, multimedia players and remote controls. High efficiency is achieved by consuming a typical supply current of 45 mA.
Intense Ltd. announced its Intense-HPD Series 6100, 980 nm high power single emitter laser diodes. They are high brightness, single mode lasers with up to 200 mW of kink-free power, and they provide high beam quality with low astigmatism and a Gaussian far field. Applications include print and imaging, point-to-point communications, medical imaging, optical storage, sensing and detection, and aerospace and defense.
Pepperl+Fuchs introduced its AL21 Series ultra low-profile light grids that provide automatic adaptation of the beam configuration for maximum resolution and coverage at close range for elevator doorway monitoring. They are resistant to sunlight and other ambient light sources. Triple beam crossing is maintained during closed-door conditions, offering optimal coverage as the door is about to close.
OSD Displays released its AMOLED panels with 2.0" diagonal and QCIF resolution. The technology allows improved support for higher-resolution and size without significant sacrifice to reliability. The display offers high brightness, color quality and viewing performance associated with OLED technology that can support surplus full motion video frame rates for a variety of multimedia applications. The ultra-compact design measures 38.0 mm × 68.8 mm × 1.3 mm
Sauer-Danfoss, Inc. announced four types of ready-to-mount hydraulic integrated circuits (HICs) that fit seven proprietary low speed, high torque motors. This family of standardized, off-the-shelf HICs will speed up OEMs’ production times compared to using remote-mounted custom HICs. They provide common functions including counterbalance, cross-port relief, bypass solenoid and dual shock valve with anti-cavitation.
MicroMo Electronics, Inc. announced its Series ADM1220S miniature stepper motor with an external motor diameter of 12 mm and a length of 17.2 mm. It has a holding torque with current of 2.4 mNm, and it can achieve a boost torque of 4.1 mNm. The motor offers 20 full steps per revolution in full step mode, and it is capable of 160 microsteps per revolution with a maximum error of ±0.2° at speeds ranging from 10 rpm to 6,000 rpm.
Morgan Advanced Ceramics (MAC) announced its dry-pressed alumina ceramic balls for use in harsh environments. These rolling, spherical components are suitable for mechanical devices that provide rotary or linear motion such as check and ball valves and bearings. The ceramic balls can be used in the electrical, environmental, chemical, material processing and automotive industries.
Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc. announced its GX1110, a high performance single-channel PXI signal generator that offers both arbitrary waveform and DDS-based function generator capabilities within one instrument. It features 2M samples of memory, it supports a 100 MHz sample rate, and it is capable of generating low distortion sine waves up to 30 MHz.
Agilent Technologies, Inc. introduced its models 11713B and 11713C attenuator/switch drivers for both bench-top and ATE environments. These drivers provide an intuitive graphical user interface and a variety of attenuation and switching options, as well as front-panel and remote-control features for quick design validation and automated testing. The 11713B model drives a combination of two programmable attenuators and two SPDT switches or up to 10 SPDT switches concurrently.
Willtek Communications announced its model 9103 handheld spectrum analyzer that operates at frequencies up to 7.5 GHz. It supports microwave applications, featuring all of the typical measurements of standard desktop spectrum analyzers such as channel power, occupied bandwidth and adjacent channel power ratio.
AlazarTech, Inc. announced its ATS9462, a four-lane PCI Express (PCIe) waveform digitizer for OEMs and R&D applications in RF signal analysis, biomedical imaging, OCT, ultrasonics, radar and lidar. The instrument provides 720 MB/s data throughput to PC memory. It has two simultaneous analog inputs that can each be sampled at rates up to 180 MS/s (one 16 bit 180 MSPS ADC per channel), providing a signal-to-noise ratio in excess of 73 dB.
Sealevel Systems, Inc. introduced its W-series SeaI/O family of data acquisition modules that is compatible with industry standards, communicating over 802.11b/g wireless networks using WEP, WPA-TKIP and WPA2-AES encryption standards. The modules operate from 9V DC to 30V DC, they are powered by terminal block or DC jack, and they are available with host connection options such as Ethernet, USB, RS-485 and RS-232.
Sartorius Mechatronics Corp. optimized its professional meters which are equipped with four analytical PP meter models with stable measuring results, secure data management and time-savings. The basic PP-15 meter measures pH and mV, ORP (redox) and temperature, while the PP-20 model also uses a dual-channel to include simultaneous measurement of conductivity, salinity, NaCl content or total dissolved solids (TDS) during pH/mV measurements.
Keithley Instruments, Inc. announced its models 2635 and 2636 SourceMeter instruments that do parametric analysis at resolutions of 1fa (10A to 15A) which is required for many semiconductor, optoelectronic and nanotechnology devices. With their Test Script Processor (TSP) and TSP-Link intercommunications bus, these instruments enable engineers to create fast test systems that are suitable for research, characterization, wafer sort, reliability and production monitoring.
