Applied Motion Products introduced its ST5-Si stepper drives that are programmable for stand-alone operation with proprietary Si Programmer Windows-based software with integrated tuning. A graphical point-and-click format combines motion, I/O and operator interface functionality for simple machine sequencing. Microchip Technology Inc. announced the MCP73837 and MCP73838 dual-input, high-current Li-Ion/Polymer charge-management controllers with automatic USB or AC adapter power-source selection.
