This display shrinks the full-color pixel size to 11.25µm square, and it exhibits optimally sharp color images. It is a transmissive LCD display with the same architecture as LCD flat panel TVs, but with ultra-high pixel densities.
Power Technology, Inc. introduced its high power blue and violet laser diodes for use with its PM laser module, 405 nm at 60 mW, allowing additional selection variety. These diodes can be useful in most applications that use Argon-Ion, Helium Cadmium and blue Nd:YAG lasers such as fluorescence, confocal microscopy, high-resolution printing, flow cytometry and Raman spectroscopy.
Avago Technologies announced its 850 nm VCSEL-based 10 Gb/s AFBR-700SDZ SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable) optical transceiver with digital monitoring interface (DMI) for communications, industrial and consumer applications. It supports the SFF-8431 specification for enhanced 10 Gb SFP+ as well as the SFF-8472 specification for DMI in optical transceivers.

A drop-in replacement for the PCA9532, the device can drive 16 LEDs directly in parallel, and it provides LED dimming in 256 brightness steps for backlighting and RGB color mixing.
