With a construction that prevents surge events from being shunted into the ground and power plane, Littlefuse’s TwinChip SDP Series SIDACtor protection device provides improved DSL overvoltage protection as well as broadband driver amplifier protection for the secondary side of coupling transformers. The bidirectional device limits DSL secondary line voltage to a 43V peak with a surge current rating up to 100A for a lower and more stable off-state capacitance than typical thyristor overvoltage protection.

Tactile Switches Provide Illumination Choice

With seven different cap options and a choice of LED, the JS Series of 12mm2 illuminated momentary tactile switch provides cosmetic design choices for control in applications such as A/V equipment, consumer electronics, and test instruments. Made of polycarbonate in a nylon housing, the 12V DC logic-level switch has a tested electrical life of 100,000 cycles. Transceiver IC Empowers 2.4 GHz Networks

Operating in the 2.4GHz band, the Nordic Semiconductor nRF24L01+ single-chip transceiver IC offers a 250kbps data rate option mode with a -94dBm sensitivity for up to triple the operating range over previous parts. Supporting up to six simultaneous wireless devices, the IC has a peak current of 13.5mA, enabling enough of a power budget to run a product on standard coin cell batteries.
