Free Monday at DAC Includes Six Pavilion Programs

In addition to the exhibition, Exhibitor Forum, IC Design Central Pavilion, and the Keynote Panel, Free Monday registration includes access to the DAC Pavilion (Booth #1928) where six Pavilion programs will be presented that day.
46th Design Automation Conference Welcomes 29 New Exhibitors

The new exhibitors include companies ranging from providers of design tools and data management solutions to product development experts and placement firms. The 46th DAC will be held July 26 – 31 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and DAC exhibit hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, July 27 through Wednesday, July 29 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.
Chinese Web sites close amid tightening controls

China stepped up its crackdown on social networking sites in March over online allegations surrounding the treatment of Tibetans, and the blockages continued through the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square demonstrations and the recent ethnic riots in Xinjiang.

Space station astronauts use robot arm, go Twitter

The 13 space station and Endeavour crew members were awakened early Tuesday by Mission Control with the Rascal Flatts' song "Life is a Highway." Not long afterward, crew members began using the shuttle and space station's robotic arms to move a storage pallet holding three experiments from the belly of Endeavour to the outside of a Japanese laboratory at the space station.

Debate starting on new French Internet piracy bill

An earlier version of the bill was found to be unconstitutional. Legislators in the National Assembly are to debate the amended bill through Friday, but decided not to take a vote on it until they return from summer recess in September.
